I must share another wonderful thing that was brought into my life at the exact perfect moment.
It was September, 2008 and I had just gotten home from yet another Dr. visit with yet another prescription for strep throat. It was my fifth prescription of the year. Ugh! My close friend, Dana, was really concerned about me having to put so many drugs into my system. And, so was I…it was getting really frustrating because it’s so hard to focus on work and taking care of a toddler (especially as a single Mom) whenever you are sick.
Also during that time period, another close friend of mine sat me down to tell me that she (and others) was concerned about my son, Jake, who was a little over two years old. He was not connecting with people very well. He was not making eye contact and not trying to converse with anyone & his social development seemed to be behind the other children. Because he and I have had such a strong connection and communication, from the minute he was born, I had not really taken notice until she mentioned it on that fearful day.
Dana and I went to an event in Celebration and ran into two of her dear friends, Jimbo Wear and Jimmy “Big Daddy” Wear. They were bursting with excitement over a new company, called Lifemax, that Jimbo and his wife, Sherri, were starting that would distribute Mila (a pure form of chia seed that had just been certified by the FDA as a raw, whole food).
Because of the great relationship that Dana had with these two gentlemen, I agreed to hear more about Mila and Lifemax. And…I am SO Grateful that I did! I immediately noticed that I had more energy and focus. I also noticed that my hair & skin looked better. During one of my doctor visits, I was told that I had high cholesterol.
